Sources include market research reports, trade publications, scientific journals, and government databases. The Current Index to Statistics (CIS), a bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields, is a joint venture of the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. It currently indexes the entire contents of more than 162 core journals, selectively indexes an additional 1,200 journals, and indexes some 11,000 mathematical statistics books and conference proceedings. CIS is international in scope and covers subjects such as Bayesian mathematics, data analysis, Markov processes, Monte Carlo methods, probability, statistics, and stochastics.
The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals, with the goal of covering all subjects and languages. More than 800 open access journals are in the directory.
DOAJ is hosted by Lund University Libraries Head Office . The project is funded by Open Society Institute - Budapest and also supported by SPARC, The Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition.

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) is the world's largest archive of computerized social science data. Searchable by broad subject category or keyword. Most files are freely available to download and is an itegral part of the infrastructure of social science research. In order to download data, first-time UAlbany users must create a MyData account from a UAlbany computer. Once you have created an account that identifies you with UAlbany, you may access ICPSR data from off-campus and social media accounts. User guide/tutorial
